Teacher (Engagement Facilitator):

Position Summary:

“The Teacher” uses their unique talents, passions, and hobbies to create and facilitate interactive classes and experiences such as art workshops, woodworking, history lessons, music, dance, and/or chair yoga to provide stimulation, reduce isolation and create meaning for older adults experiencing cognitive and physical challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create and facilitate a daily schedule of classes that utilize the creative process of art workshops, woodworking, history lessons, music, dance, and/or chair yoga to engage club members in group sessions as well as independent areas of opportunity

Provide operational support, personal care assistance, and assistance with nutrition/dining

Encourage members to acquire new skills and become engaged by redirecting and scaling programs to best meet individual needs.

Participate in the development of care plans that reflect the strengths and personhood of OCC members

Position Requirements

  • Talents, Passions, or Hobbies in one or more areas such as: music, expressive movement, painting, mixed media, fitness, teaching, education

  • A contagious interactive and charismatic personality

  • High School Graduate or equivalent

  • Must have current DPS clearance and pass a background check

Position Summary

The Wellness Partner is the glue that holds the team together and has the important role of ensuring each member's personhood is respected, dignified, and highlights each person's sense of independence.

  • The caregiver provides assistance with personal care (bathroom assistance, showers, eating, ambulation, etc.)

  • The caregiver is responsible for acquiring vitals on each club member 1x a month and conducting fitness testing under the direction of the Club Director

  • The caregiver is responsible for food services including:

    • Preparing and plating lunch/snacks that meet quality, appearance, and presentation standards using proper serving etiquette and creating an inviting dining atmosphere

    • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen, maintaining service kitchen compliance, and maintaining supplies

  • Facilitate activities to engage club members

  • Other responsibilities as determined by the club director

Position Requirements

  • Talents, Passions, or Hobbies in one or more areas such as: music, expressive movement, painting, mixed media, fitness, teaching, education

  • Previous experience preferred

  • A contagious interactive and charismatic personality

  •  High School Graduate or equivalent

  • Must have current DPS clearance and pass a background check
