NEW! Medicare-approved program covers families navigating dementia.
On January 17th, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Dr. Mari Mercado will give an introductory presentation about GUIDE, a new program spearheaded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia, reduce strain on caregivers, and help people remain in their communities.

GUIDE stands for Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience and provides comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized support for those navigating the dementia journey.

Dr. Mari Mercado is a bilingual, board-certified Family Medicine physician. She has been practicing Family Medicine in the Phoenix, AZ, region since 2008. She graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Oklahoma- Tulsa Family Residency Program.
Dr. Mercado has a subspecialty in ObGyn and was a Public Health Nutritionist before becoming a physician. Her passions are healthy aging, nutrition, and wellness. Dr. Mercado is the board president of the Arizona chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
