In 2022, OCC acquired The Perfect Place (TPP), an independent Adult Day Club facility in the Chandler/Sun Lakes area that was, at the time, struggling to recover post-COVID. TPP has since settled into the Oakwood Family and made it possible for our mission to branch out into communities where a need for stronger senior and caregiver support has been evident. Although mighty in its efforts to redefine the potential for healthy and joyful aging, TPP has reached its maximum capacity for space, limiting the number of families served daily.
With a vision of ensuring everyone can receive access to a higher quality of care, OCC is pleased to finally announce the acquisition of a new building for TPP! This significant expansion will enable us to better serve older adults living with dementia and other age-related challenges by providing a larger, more accessible facility dedicated to their needs.
New Doors Are Opening for The Perfect Place!
With an expansion in space comes an invitation for more families to experience what OCC can offer, the greatest of which is support systems that allow loved ones to remain at home for as long as possible while also giving their families and care partners some much-needed respite.
Not only will a new space allow us to enhance TPP’s programs and services, offering an engaging environment where club members can enjoy meaningful activities tailored to their unique abilities and interests, but it will also open the door to more thorough, inclusive, all-in-one care for those who need it most.
That is why we are excited to share that the new building will also house a second Hub location, which includes a clinic and community center!
A new Hub facility will allow OCC to provide a wider range of resources to our families and neighbors in the Chandler/Sun Lakes community, including educational workshops, caregiver support groups, and social engagement opportunities.
Finding the perfect home for TPP was no small feat, and we have Arizona Complete Health and the Centene Foundation to thank for making this dream a reality! Having heard OCC’s call to create a greater space of inclusivity for Arizona’s older adults, Arizona Complete Health and The Centene Foundation decided to donate a generous $2 million towards expanding TPP!
With their support, we can look forward to moving locations in the spring of 2025, and for that, we want to say THANK YOU for helping OCC make joy possible at every stage of life in every part of the East Valley!
