**Tip: An important step in dementia-friendly cooking is to encourage your loved one to be as independent as comfortably possible throughout the preparation process. Guide your loved one with verbal and social queues as they scoop, pour, and mix each ingredient into the pan. Then, when it comes time to roll your peanut butter & chocolate chip balls, don’t be afraid to get a little messy! Dust your hands off on your apron and focus on connecting and laughing with your loved one.
